Kelly Hendershot

Kelly attended the University of North Dakota School of Law in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where she graduated with distinction and served as the Managing Editor of the North Dakota Law Review. She then served as a law clerk for the East Central Judicial District in Fargo. Following her clerkship, Kelly served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Minot from January 2012 through May 2015 and the City Attorney from May 2015 through October 2022. In addition to her work at Ebeltoft. Sickler. Lawyers, Kelly is an assistant professor at Minot State University where she teaches law and ethics classes in the School of Business, Math, & Technology.

Before law school, Kelly graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and a minor in joint History and Political Science. At Concordia, Kelly spent a semester studying abroad in Rome, Italy and was a 4-year member of the Concordia Women’s Track & Field Team.

Kelly was born and raised in Minot, North Dakota. She is married to Chauncy Hendershot, a high school teacher and coach at Magic City High School in Minot. Kelly and Chauncy have three children: Charlie, Emmy, and Lauren. They enjoy spending time with family at Lake Metigoshe, walking their dogs, and watching football.
