Presentation on Workplace Diversity approved by the Human Resource Certification Institute

Paul Ebeltoft’s program on diversity issues has received approval by the Human Resource Certification Institute for credit toward renewing PHR or SPHR certification. The approval is not an endorsement by the Institute of the quality of the program. However, it does mean that the program has met the Institute’s criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit based on the content submitted.

First given to the Southwest Area Human Resources Association, Paul’s diversity program walks participants through the genesis of the modern diversity movement. He outlines differences between diversity as a legal concept and diversity as a societal phenomenon or a business objective. Reviewing the primary statutes that prohibit discrimination by employers and government agencies based upon certain characteristics of diversity, Paul concludes the program by challenging the audience to consider new aspects of diversity and how to “sell” the benefits of diversity in their workplace.
